Tasked with the protection and welfare of its citizenry, government and emergency response entities are responsible for millions of people and billions of dollars in assets. These offices require a cost-effective tool to easily and efficiently communication with citizens, partners, infrastructure elements, and other operational organizations to ensure immediate response and continuity of operations during both normal and critical times.
MIR3's inEnterprise platform is designed and optimized to meet the communication challenges faced by first responders and government entities on a day-to-day basis. The MIR3 platform provides the capability to quickly and cost-effectively reach citizens by disseminating important information to a wide range of commonly used modality technologies. Featuring MIR3's Enterprise Access Control (EAC), designated users (defined by their role and associated security attributes) are able to send time sensitive communications to pre-determined departmental zones, operational groups, customers or other employees based on pre-defined security access.

SCENARIO: Large wildfires rage out of control in multiple locations. Firefighters and other resources are stretched to their limits. The state government has been asked to step in and assist in handling the situation.
SOLUTION: First, the state government sends a notification to all registered fire stations in order to evaluate available resources. Inquires include number of firefighters, available equipment, and time needed until deployment. A second notification is launched to those currently fighting the fires, asking as to resources needed as well as the status of the fire. In order to maintain an up-to-the-minute understanding of the situation, the notification is set to repeat every hour. With this information, the state government is able to better organize and direct available resources. Once a plan has been set, the state sends a notification directing each fire crew as to where and when they are needed. Using MIR3's scheduling features, notifications are set to automatically remind fire crews of their assignments.

SCENARIO: A matter of national security requires immediate attention. All necessary personnel must be contacted and briefed as soon as possible.
SOLUTION: An initiator launches a pre-constructed notification to all required parties on a variety of modalities to ensure message delivery. The notification includes a brief explanation of the situation and informs recipients of a conference scheduled for later that day. Response options are included to confirm receipt and ability to attend. The initiator also has the option to secure the notification, requiring that all recipients enter a PIN before retrieving their message.

SCENARIO: Due to heavy rains, a highly-populated city has been flooded. While the majority of residents were able to evacuate, a few chose to remain behind and are now trapped. Emergency Response crews must quickly locate those stranded residents in order to provide the necessary assistance.
SOLUTION: As city phone lines are inoperable, a notification is quickly launched to all residents via mobile devices (cell phone, text, PDA). Response options are included so that recipients may either confirm their evacuation or request assistance. Follow-up questions are also included, so that those who confirm their safety can receive information on evacuation centers, and those who require assistance can either leave specific directions to their location, or be connected to an Emergency Response team member. Thus, Emergency Response crews are able to optimize the efficiency of their rescue operations.
